Chair's Message
All employers are looking for an "edge" in today's competitive business environment. At the Canadian Forces Liaison Council, we know that reservists can provide that edge.
Since reservists are part-time members of the Canadian Forces and nearly half of them hold civilian jobs, they bring their military knowledge and experience directly back to their employers. Employers can easily take advantage of the ongoing professional development that the military provides. We call this the "Profitable Partnership".
In return for the knowledge and skills that reservists bring to their employers, we simply ask that employers allow reservists time off to keep up with their military training. It's good value for an excellent return.
Educational institutions are also part of this partnership. Reservists bring an unparalleled level of maturity and experience to their studies. In addition, military experience prepares them for the civilian workplace.
I invite employers to learn more about the advantages of supporting the Reserve Force, including those who already take part in the Profitable Partnership, and invite you to do the same.
I invite reservists to find out more about how the Profitable Partnership can help them in their civilian work while letting them continue to serve Canada on a part-time basis.
